RUSCOMBE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN RE-SUBMISSION – UPDATE

RUSCOMBE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – READY FOR REFERENDUM

The council’s Executive decided on 26 October 2023 that the Examiner’s recommended modifications should be made to the plan. A referendum to consider the plan as modified is to be held on 7 December 2023. The Decision Statement detailing the changes to be made and the decision to proceed to referendum can be found below, as well as the updated ‘Referendum Version’ of the Ruscombe Neighbourhood Plan, and other documents. These documents are also available to be viewed at the council’s Shute End offices and Wokingham Library.

The question that will be asked in the referendum is:

“Do you want Wokingham Borough Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Ruscombe parish to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”

We have published an Information Statement which explains and supports the referendum.

People living in Ruscombe Parish who are registered to vote in local elections are entitled to vote in the referendum, which will be conducted following similar procedures to those used at local government elections.
