Colin has lived in Ruscombe for 30 years after moving back south in 1995 with his wife Kathy after 20 years in the North West (2 years in Canada) to run a business based in Maidenhead. He has worked in Marketing in the food industry since leaving university in 1969, and “retired” in 2016 after selling his factory and business in Sussex. Colin is well-known in the Wokingham/Maidenhead area, having been Chairman of the Remenham, Wargrave and Ruscombe Conservative Association
for 20 years prior to its dissolution after the boundary changes. He was also Deputy
Chairman of Maidenhead Conservative Association in the early 2000s.
Colin remains Chairman of CPRW (Campaign to Protect Rural Wokingham), a
company limited by guarantee, set up ten years ago to block major development in
Ruscombe principally. Colin is also Chairman of the NPCG (Northern Parishes Communication Group), the former Neighbourhood Action Group. Colin therefore remains in touch with the politics of WBC via his councillor contacts.
